Chosabi (King St.)

A fun and challenging project with a goal of creating a modern, open and casual environment with flair. 

Chosabi’s industrial inspired design won first prize in the 2016 Commerce Design Winnipeg competition. It offers a thoughtfully designed space with good attention to detail. From plaid banquettes to hexagonal tiling at the counter, the use of an unexpected combination of patterns and textures is unique and fashion forward.  The bustle of the open kitchen is successfully integrated with a relaxed seating environment. 

The grab and go Asian Eatery features floor to ceiling windows, polished concrete floors + a one of a kind Koi fish mural completed by local artist Pat Lazo. With a killer view looking onto King Street and Old Market Square and an interior identity unique to them - Chosabi has quickly become one of Winnipeg's go to dining hot spots. Licensed to seat 50 people, the eatery offers fresh, high quality, Asian foods and beverages. Design Shop Inc. is so proud to have been part of this endeavour.
