Inspired by the many functions this space needed to provide, we put a twist on the classic corporate interior design with pops of their signature colours, innovative office layouts, and a fresh retail space.

Design Shop had the opportunity to work with CAA, a Manitoba-founded travel insurance and roadside assistance provider, as well as a travel agency, retail space and so much more.

We previously designed the flagship location near Regent Avenue in Winnipeg, and in the process developed a new interior/spatial brand identity for the growing company. The space was partially planned by their head office, located in Ontario, with our team redefining and redesigning the space to incorporate all the needs, add interest and innovation, while also keeping in mind corporate requirements.

This location had many specific functions to keep in mind throughout design (including insurance, retail, travel agency, member services, storage, training, staff room, meeting room, manager office, staff room, washrooms, events.) Inspired by the many functions, we put a twist on the classic corporate interior design with pops of their signature colours, innovative office layouts, and a fresh retail space. 

We incorporated millwork throughout, including frame detailing around vertical TVs (also implementing the blue brand colours here.) A wood backdrop was installed which added texture and warmth. We used custom millwork dividers between desks for additional privacy and a visual barrier in the form of wood paneling with waterfall solid surface edges.

The use of round elements in reception (flooring detail and bulkhead above) created a natural "hostess-like" station for anyone who had questions about where to go. 

Custom shelving in the desk areas were added for display of items, which increased the welcoming and cozy feel.
