Our team collaborated with 010110 Architecture to work with a repeat client (and old colleague of Debbie’s). The entire project was completed remotely during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown.

Fortunately for us, our normal work-from-home practice came in very handy and we felt comfortable designing remotely and collaborating with the Lethbridge team.

With the intent of using the space as a shared clinic, our clients wanted an elevated design experience, while maintaining their budget. We were able to incorporate several creative and signature design gestures throughout the space.

As with any clinic design, our goal is to create a healthcare space where patients can feel comfortable and at ease.

To emphasize a calm and approachable atmosphere, we created warmth and ease throughout the space with lighting details and architecture distractions, as well as a walnut slab behind the main desk.

The walnut gestures were repeated throughout the space to ensure there was no identity crisis from front to back.

A vinyl, easy-to-maintain, modular seating system as well as solid surface material choices mean that the waiting area seating will look good and stay comfortable for years to come.

In acknowledgement of the often stressful feelings of being in a clinic, we used sensitive lighting throughout to soften the experience.

We never shy away from lighting creativity - this project includes bold mix and match pendants, and we used lighting to create directionality and movement within the space.
